Production start on Bøyla

We are pleased to announce the start-up of production from the Bøyla field. Total investments in the development of the Bøyla field amount to approximately NOK 5 billion. Recoverable reserves from the field are estimated at approximately 23 million barrels of oil equivalents, of which Core Energy’s share amounts to 4.6 million barrels of oil equivalents. The development solution is a subsea installation consisting of two horizontal production wells and one water injection well. Beta acquisition

Snilehorn discovery

Core Energy is pleased to announce an oil discovery in well 6407/8-6 and sidetrack 6407/8-6A on the Snilehorn Prospect in PL348/348B in the Norwegian Sea (Core Energy 17.5% working interest). The preliminary volumetric estimates of the size of the discovery as assessed by the operator Statoil are between 57 and 101 million barrels of recoverable oil equivalent (10 - 18 mmboe net to Core Energy). Production start on Hyme

On 25 February, Statoil which is the operator of Hyme announced that production began from the oil field located in the southern part of the Norwegian Sea. The Hyme field was discovered at Haltenbanken in June 2009, 19 kilometres north-east of the Njord A platform. It is tied in to existing infrastructure on Njord A. The field development plan includes a multilateral production well and a water injection well drilled through a subsea template with four well slots.
